If there was anything I would change about the Simpsons episode it would be the way that they smuggled the alcohol in the speakeasies. They showed cops being paid off by the mafia which is good but then they had them smuggle it in with bowling balls. Even though this is funny I think that it takes away from the actuality that there was alcohol being smuggled.

Simpsons thing
In my opinion this episode of the Simpsons I think the producers did a great job of portraying the 1920s/prohibition in Springfield . I think that even though this show was written as a joke and made to make people laugh, there really is a message about how life was at those times. Even though it was funny it was able to get this message across. I like how it showed how the people felt about prohibition and I think it fit both the reality and the Simpsons format the way they attacked it with sarcasm since everyone thought it was silly. The end proves this when the old man reads that prohibition was repealed quickly after it was put in place.
