Jackie Robinson.

Jackie Robinson was one of the greatest figures of the civil rights movement, though I don’t believe you can say the greatest. Jackie Robinson was an amazing individual who conquered race barriers in front of America’s eyes. Baseball was what everyone was watching in America at that time and for him to be the first black man to play and accomplish greatness was huge for the civil rights movement. His actions were viewable by everyone in the country thanks to the advancement of technology and the popularity of baseball. I think he is easily one of the most important individuals but I don’t feel as though one can say he was greater than someone like Martin Luther King.
